Where to find
The Online World handbook

If you do not find http://home.eunet.no/~presno/where.html in the Address: or Location: line on your browser, then chances are that you have retrieved this page from a "mirror" web server. This handbook is regularly copied to web servers around the world so that readers can retrieve pages faster. We call such copying for  "mirroring."
The currency of mirrored pages depends on how often the mirror web server logs on to http://home.eunet.no to retrieve updated pages. While most mirrors do it fairly often, technical and other problems may force some to offer an outdated version of the handbook.
To check currency of your mirrored pages, see the date at the top of the handbook's contents page.

The TOW (The Online World) mailing list

This mailing list was used for announcements of new updates. Since distribution of the handbook in ascii and as zip files stopped, these announcements have been made on the What's New page.
You are invited to use the TOW mailing list to report and discuss discoveries in the Online World with other subscribers.
The mailing list's postings can be browsed and searched at http://listserv.nodak.edu/archives/tow.html, and this is also where you can join the mailing list.
